Here's some of my friends' adopted dogs that they got from shelters.
On the left is little Maggie, adopted when she was 11 years old by Jolene.
In exchange for a warm, loving home, Maggie gave 4 years of love to her new Mommy & Daddy. R.I.P. Maggie.
On the right is Coco, Jolene's new Chihuahua.
This is Riley, a dashund mix, adopted by Lindsey from a local shelter.

Our chihuahuas are such a HUGE part of our lives that I just thought it would be a fun thing to share chihuahua stories,
chihuahua photos, chihuahua information, chihuahua anything! One thing that is funny about having a chihuahua for a pet, is that
it really is more than likely that you will eventually have more than one chihuahua at a time in your life.

"WHY PAY MORE FOR A PUPPY WITH A GREAT PEDIGREE IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO BE BREEDING OR SHOWING???
This is why... even tho there are no guarantees how even a great pedigreed dog will turn out, the chances of the puppy having the same traits of it's ancestors is fairly certain. If you buy a puppy from someone who has been breeding for years, and has owned, bred &/or studied the puppie's parents, grandparents, great grandparents, etc., your chances of having a good, sound pet is much higher. Combine these facts with a puppy that has been born and raised inside someone's home with people, other pets, noises of a normal household, etc., as opposed to being born and raised in a barn or shed (possibly in a wire cage,) with no steady human interaction, you may see a difference in how your puppy adjusts to it's new home. Of course, we have all had pets (mixed breeds or whatever) with lineages unknown to us that have been wonderful. Of course, the same reasons that produce a champion dog can also work the other way to produce a very unsound puppy. That's why puppies from long-term AND conscientious breeders can even get HIGHER prices for their puppies. Here are a couple examples of what you can expect when you know your breeder and your breeder knows their dogs...Isabel, the remaining female pup from this litter, is the spitting image of her mother, Dollie. Also, this litter seems to have very level dispositions like their parents. That means alot when acquiring a pet.
PEDIGREE FOR OUR SIRE, "DREAMS OF MY 'LIL NINGO BABY" AND OUR DAM "DEE DEE'S DREAMY DOLLOP OF ISABELLA." (BELOW.)
NOTE: In the above pedigree, Ningo's Paternal Great Granddam's Sire is "CH. Goround's Lil Killer," TP198222/01 (09-02,) plus five other Champions within the next three generations, and includes bloodlines from "Stonehill," "Davishall," "Quachitah," along with "Stonehill's."
Also NOTE: To produce a Blue Chihuahua, both parents must be carrying the blue gene or allell. Ningo X Lucinda, one of our past Mamas, produced one Blue & tan female pup, and in another litter, a reverse blue tiger brindle, Lootie. Therefore, Ningo definately is carrying a blue gene or allell.
NOTE: In Isabella's pedigree, above, please know that in the next generation (not shown) of Isabella there are nine more champions.
